ABOUT
My
history
Trained in a National Superior School of Art in Architecture and Interior design, rather interested in scenic, event and graphic design, I was planning to work as a film or theatre set designer. My arrival in New York at the end of my studies in 1995 changed the game and offered me the opportunity to discover stage production rather than stage design.
This is how I managed and toured for 20 years with dance companies and contemporary music groups in France and abroad.
At the same time, I kept following my personal artistic experiments and participated in various workshops to continue my training and enrich my artistic vocabulary.
Between 1999 and 2015, I took various courses in sculpture and ceramics at the Municipal School of Fine Arts in Sète and rubbed shoulders with the local art scene, mostly among painters and visuals artists.
I still regularly attend workshops and trips around the cultures of North and West Africa in the visual arts, pottery crafts, and traditional west African dances. My creations were first very influenced by those traditions and techniques, then gradually detached themselves from there. Only a personal animism remains: the relationship to the "sacred fire"...
